Day 1 Bud's Boys Champion Golfer Tourney
The conditions today at Kimbeland CC resembled a cold, windy day at the British Open. High 30's temps and steady breeze at the start had more than one person questioning their cognitive abilities. Bright sun, rising temps and lower wind speed than expected in the end resulted in a much better day than expected. Scoring still took a hit as some found their swings did not adapt to the extra layers of clothing. Co-leader Brian found his comfort zone as evidenced by his smooth follow through on 15.
Mikey joins Brian, also with a +2, at the top of the first day leaderboard, closely followed by Scott (+1) and Roger (E). Full results at bottom of page.
After Round Activities
Leroy held court post round with a rousing game of 'Name that Golfer!'
Prizes were awarded and, as usual, everyone was a winner when Leroy takes charge. He even awarded me with 'Best Comedy Blog' trophy.
This may be taken as bragging but I do not think it a stretch to say we may have the best golf blog in the whole city of Jackson (Senior Division).
