One Week to Tournament

Tee times secured for next Tuesday, we can have a full field. Some (Jeff and Floyd) tried to sharpen their game at 'Top of the Rock'.

Rick tried to sharpen his in the mud on number 11, Kimbeland.

Although he was ankle deep on contact, he punched the ball free and saved bogey.

Bud's Boys Updates

Medical front: Bill's surgery successful, hopes to join us this week and possibly play the tournament. Dean has a miraculous recovery (last week rumors had his golf clubs on life-support) and joined today's play.

Lost and Found Update: Bob's missing jacket found in the bottom of his closet, not Allen's cart. 4-iron still on the lam.

Speaking of Allen, how would you like to be half asleep watching the ball game when your garage seems to explode? I should have gotten pictures from Dean of the person who drove off the road and crashed through Allen's garage. Allen is okay other than the understandable grief of dealing with a dangerous situation.

Today's Results

A steady warm October wind greeted 17 golfers and only increased as the day went on. It played enough havoc on scoring that only 3 players moved their number upwards. Unfortunately for the other 14, all 3 were on the same team.

'Hot Rod' Rodney easily the player of the day with his Medalist high +8 (one over par 73) to go along with his CTP, besting Westy by only a couple of inches. As usual, he didn't hit any good shots.

Obviously, Rodney had many very good misses.
