Bud's Boys Champion Golfer of the Year Tournament is Set

After much discussion and a couple of group votes, our tourney dates are finalized. Apologies to anyone who is unable to play on these particular days, but we had to make a choice at some point. Make your arrangements to play and let me know if you plan to participate.

Tuesday      Oct 18- Round 1

Wednesday Oct 19- Round 2

More details to follow on rules, entry fee, pay out, etc.

Photo Revisited

I expected a little more reaction to our rules arbiter bending the rules a tad. My first thought was fear of retaliation, like criticizing Don Corleone or Tony Soprano.




Then I find out that most who looked at the picture were only admiring Leroy's legs and didn't notice the ball placement on the tee box. So please take one more look and check out the ball compared to the tee markers.

Tues. Results

A very statistically unlikely tie today with 2 teams finishing (+6 1/2), (+5 1/2), (12).
Individually, 9 of the 17 participants saw their number go up led by Keith's Medalist best +8. Nearly as impressive +7 for Rodney, +6 Glen, +5 Scott, +4 Jeff and Doc, +3 Raymond and Marty.

Jeff cruelly crushes Brandon's day by taking CTP with, naturally, the last tee shot of the day.

    LeRoy- no problem here - just tell the guys you will move the ball back 6 in from where it lands in the fairway !!??!?

New Years News Bits- Opening Day 2025 We have coverage of the first two days of the new 2025 season along with a look back at 2024. Plenty of pictures from several different contributors of the winter storm to pass your time. Maybe we should throw in a couple bucks and make your prediction of when the next Bud's Boys round will be played. It is good to be back up and running with my new computer. The geek salesman assured me this computer will be much faster. Honestly though, I seem to type just as slow as before. Thursday Lunch Proposal How about we meet again this Thursday (11:00) if there is no golf. We had a good turnout this past week and I propose we do it again this Thursday.  Bud's Boys Count Your Blessings Issue Everyday should be a 'CYB' day but some days you realize it a little more. More on that later. Halloween is coming soon, and we have the Coors golfer haunting our course. Friday Rabbit Chase The greens were fast and furious once more and the total group score of minus 24 reflected as much. Kudos to Doc (+4) and Dean (+3) for shooting on the plus side of their handicap numbers in the tough conditions. Special shout out to Glen and Butch for breaking their streaks of minus golf with a +3 for Butch and a Medalist best +5 for Glen. Butch jarred his birdie putt on hole #9 to catch the Rabbit.
