BB Champion Golfer of the Year Update

We have to make tee times this Tuesday (11th), so let me know if you are in. I think I have 12 confirmed and about 12 non-committed. So, commit or get off the pot.


This is our once a year 'Major' tournament. We are going to pretend to be more like real golfers. We are going to be a little more rules conscious for this event but let me be clear. This will not be a 'gotcha' thing where you are looking out for others to bend the rules. We should just play fair (and play like ESPN has a camera on you) and enjoy the competition. It is still BB's scoring, so a double is all you can get. Not worth trying to get away with anything.

Weds Results

Randy, Rodney, and Glen finish 1-2-3 in Medalist scoring to sweep FBT. Glen tacks on the CTP to make it a 'Clean Sweep'.



Thursday Results

Today was 5-dollar Thursday (Friday Tourney) and most teams followed the "Don't leave birdie putts short!" advice, as 8 birdies were recorded in the first 3 holes. Brandon (for the first time) birdied 1-2-3 for the hottest start. There were mumbles from his teammates that he should have focused on the last 15 holes instead of filling out a PGA Tour application. Tom also had 3 straight birdies on the timelier 3-4-5 holes. Keith's birdie on 6 caged up the Rabbit for their team. Tom's Medalist +6 and Keith's +5 earned Back and Total. Rodney's +5 and Brandon's hot start did secure the Front for them. A couple of 'attaboys' to Leroy and John for +4s. Scott sticks the CTP to place his team in the win column.

New Years News Bits- Opening Day 2025 We have coverage of the first two days of the new 2025 season along with a look back at 2024. Plenty of pictures from several different contributors of the winter storm to pass your time. Maybe we should throw in a couple bucks and make your prediction of when the next Bud's Boys round will be played. It is good to be back up and running with my new computer. The geek salesman assured me this computer will be much faster. Honestly though, I seem to type just as slow as before. Thursday Lunch Proposal How about we meet again this Thursday (11:00) if there is no golf. We had a good turnout this past week and I propose we do it again this Thursday.  Bud's Boys Count Your Blessings Issue Everyday should be a 'CYB' day but some days you realize it a little more. More on that later. Halloween is coming soon, and we have the Coors golfer haunting our course. Friday Rabbit Chase The greens were fast and furious once more and the total group score of minus 24 reflected as much. Kudos to Doc (+4) and Dean (+3) for shooting on the plus side of their handicap numbers in the tough conditions. Special shout out to Glen and Butch for breaking their streaks of minus golf with a +3 for Butch and a Medalist best +5 for Glen. Butch jarred his birdie putt on hole #9 to catch the Rabbit.
