   Tee Times

 10:06 Tues, Weds, and Thursday

Course Closed Friday

We have had big turnouts on Tuesday recently, so I will repeat my usual warning. If you are not early or do not give heads up on Tuesday, you may be left out. If given time, we can work out a large number. We will not redo 20 players to accommodate your lateness.

Thursday Results

I often marvel at the results the 'Mystery of Golf' sprinkles on our scorecards. Weds and Thurs were identical days weather wise. We had mostly the same players Thurs as we had Weds. So how do we explain the group being a sad minus 23 one day only to be followed with a smokin' plus 36 the next! On Weds, only 4 players out of 16 were plus, the same number that were -5 or worse. On Thurs, the worse score was only -2 by 3 players. We had 8 players move up by scoring +2 or better. Here is one interesting suggestion from Raymond, who said it came to him during his daily meditation session. He thinks it could be the fact that on 'Wacky' Weds we played as a group, not a team, drawing cards after the round. Do we need the encouragement, the feel of helping each other to bring out our best? Is it a 'go team go' mentality that pushes us higher? Certainly, it is worth considering. This could explain 'Loner Mikey' being Medalist Weds when he was playing for himself. We've all noticed he's not exactly a great team player. On the other hand, there is this possibility, offered by our man with the most experience in life's lessons, Rodney. "Some days you just suck at golf. Period."

Highlights

The "Old Master" returned to form blistering the back 9 with 21 points (35 total). Andy's round included a birdie on 15 and a hole-out eagle from the fairway on 13.

Champion Golfer of the day easily goes to Jeff, who must have set some record for winnings this week. On this day he has the most points with an even par 36 to go with his Medalist high +7. To complete his triple crown, he takes CTP honors on 18. His team takes 2 1/2 of the events.

Friday Results

Scoring more level today although 3 Bud's Boys shoot under par, led by Tom's 2 under 70. Scott and Randy co-Medal at +6. Tom's CTP allows his team to take home 1/2 of the day's winnings. Marty and Brians' strong front nets 1 1/2.

Ste Gen SEMO Seniors

5 of the 8 BB's entered cashed in this week. Allen $10 for a 9th place, Dean gets $20 for 8th. Marty wins $60 for a 4th place finish. We save the best for last.

Bud's Boys claim 2 First Place Crowns

Winning $100 each are King Leroy and King Glen. They win their divisions by 3 and 5 strokes respectively. Your peasants rejoice at the news.
