We had a 15-player turnout for Rodney's 82nd. Let's meet today's lineup.

Team 1 Jeff, Rodney, and Floyd


Known for their pace of play, they were an excellent choice to lead off. (They would finish about an hour ahead of Team 2. More on that later.)

Team 2    Leroy, Allen, and Scott



Leroy reacts to Allen's choice of color on red, white, and blue day. Due to cart trouble of an unknown source, they were unable to keep up with Team 1.


Team 3  KeyZ, Bob, and Tom





This group of long hitting bombers are looking to catch the Rabbit.

Team 4   Shelly, Andy, and Butch



This team was voted best looking group (except for Andy,....and Butch).

Team 5   Randy, Clint, and Raymond

This group has highest quota to reach, but they are not scared.

Though this is Rodney's special day, it was more than special for Raymond as he flat dominated today's action. Here is his long list of accomplishments.

After Round Results

Rodney treated to drinks and food to cap an enjoyable day on and off the course. We can't wait for Clint's birthday next year as he promises, with Leroy's help, to have a 2-day fest that will top all previous celebrations.

  Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I trust we are all treating the mothers in our lives like the queens they deserve to be treated. Hard to believe my own has been gone 41 years, but the 27 I lived with her are still as vivid as can be. Today might be Mother's Day, but Friday was certainly Mudder's Day. A seven-day layoff for BB's as our course was recovering from the deluge of constant rain. Though most of the course was okay, many swings today produced a spray of mud and water. The layoff combined with the conditions made plus golf a challenge. Tom's Medalist best +5 and Shelly's +3 were the only scores that moved their hcp# upward. No team finished plus in any of the FBT categories. Butch wins the CTP and Doc turns 2-pair in the Card Game to give their team 2 events today despite having the worst score of the 4 teams.   Happy St Patrick's Day everyone. Today's edition has the final results from Thursday and Friday's rather small turnouts. But first, something new we are trying.  Many of you know today is the day the NCAA Tournament is revealed, and everyone starts filling out their brackets. Well, forget Kentucky and Kansas or Purdue or whoever! The real March Madness will take place at Kimbeland CC. Read on and fill out your bracket. The person who best predicts the outcome of all the matches will get some yet undetermined special prize, fitting the magnitude of such an event. Here are the participants and their region. In the Allen Hill Regional, Allen himself will square off with Randy. The winner will face the survivor of the Glen vs. KZ matchup. In the Andy McIntosh Regional, Doc and Jeff will meet, with the winner playing either Raymond or Leroy for the regional final. Champion Golfer of the Year Raymond had to be on his game to win, as there were several great rounds turned in over the two days of play. Let's start at the beginning as we go step by step through the stages of the tournament. Thursday, Day 1 Twenty-four Bud's Boys teed off in hopes of taking home the big trophy. The weather was 40 degrees warmer than day 1 last year. The scores reflected the great conditions as half the field finished in the plus column. Butch leads at +7, 1-up on Raymond, Clint, and Floyd.
