Friday Aug 26 Results

Keith marks his second straight Medalist award with a +6 (someone practiced while he was absent from the group), 3 better than Scott. Toss in Leroy's +2 and you have the only 3 golfers out of 17 who finished in a plus position. Keith and Scott's team sweeps FBT.

Rabbit

We had another statistical oddity with the rabbit on Friday. Each of the 5 teams had 1 and only 1 birdie on the front. Interesting that 3 of said birdies were drained on number 4, canceling out previous bird on 1. That leaves Raymond's deuce on number 6 as today's winner.


Floyd Alert! Leroy Knocking at the Door!

Leroy's second straight CTP (by a whisker again) puts him in position for a 3rd straight come Tuesday. He becomes the 8th player since Floyd's January accomplishment with a chance at 3 in a row. Previous 7 have all failed. That's 4 nights of thinking about whether he can handle the pressure. How many youtube videos and Golf Digest articles will be devoured by Lucky Leroy by Tuesday Morning? Let's have a good turnout Tuesday so Leroy can truly earn his goal. I might as well post the following picture as testament of how locked in Leroy is. This is his tee shot on 4 Friday.

  Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I trust we are all treating the mothers in our lives like the queens they deserve to be treated. Hard to believe my own has been gone 41 years, but the 27 I lived with her are still as vivid as can be. Today might be Mother's Day, but Friday was certainly Mudder's Day. A seven-day layoff for BB's as our course was recovering from the deluge of constant rain. Though most of the course was okay, many swings today produced a spray of mud and water. The layoff combined with the conditions made plus golf a challenge. Tom's Medalist best +5 and Shelly's +3 were the only scores that moved their hcp# upward. No team finished plus in any of the FBT categories. Butch wins the CTP and Doc turns 2-pair in the Card Game to give their team 2 events today despite having the worst score of the 4 teams. St. Pat's Day Sunday 3/17

  Happy St Patrick's Day everyone. Today's edition has the final results from Thursday and Friday's rather small turnouts. But first, something new we are trying.  Many of you know today is the day the NCAA Tournament is revealed, and everyone starts filling out their brackets. Well, forget Kentucky and Kansas or Purdue or whoever! The real March Madness will take place at Kimbeland CC. Read on and fill out your bracket. The person who best predicts the outcome of all the matches will get some yet undetermined special prize, fitting the magnitude of such an event. Here are the participants and their region. In the Allen Hill Regional, Allen himself will square off with Randy. The winner will face the survivor of the Glen vs. KZ matchup. In the Andy McIntosh Regional, Doc and Jeff will meet, with the winner playing either Raymond or Leroy for the regional final. The Bud Marshall Regional has Scott and Roger facing off with the winner going up against the Bob vs. Tom match. T

 Bud's Boys Count Your Blessings Issue Everyday should be a 'CYB' day but some days you realize it a little more. More on that later. Halloween is coming soon, and we have the Coors golfer haunting our course. Friday Rabbit Chase The greens were fast and furious once more and the total group score of minus 24 reflected as much. Kudos to Doc (+4) and Dean (+3) for shooting on the plus side of their handicap numbers in the tough conditions. Special shout out to Glen and Butch for breaking their streaks of minus golf with a +3 for Butch and a Medalist best +5 for Glen. Butch jarred his birdie putt on hole #9 to catch the Rabbit.
