 How much difference does humidity make on the golf course? Yesterday our group combined for a +33. Today's higher humidity certainly contributed to our -16 showing today, -18 on the back when everyone's tanks were running low.


 Floyd kept his cool well enough to win Medalist with +4, Jeff most points with 31. That was good enough for their team to sweep FBT. Tom's CTP cuts his teams losses to only a dollar.

Mother's Day 5/12

  Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I trust we are all treating the mothers in our lives like the queens they deserve to be treated. Hard to believe my own has been gone 41 years, but the 27 I lived with her are still as vivid as can be. Today might be Mother's Day, but Friday was certainly Mudder's Day. A seven-day layoff for BB's as our course was recovering from the deluge of constant rain. Though most of the course was okay, many swings today produced a spray of mud and water. The layoff combined with the conditions made plus golf a challenge. Tom's Medalist best +5 and Shelly's +3 were the only scores that moved their hcp# upward. No team finished plus in any of the FBT categories. Butch wins the CTP and Doc turns 2-pair in the Card Game to give their team 2 events today despite having the worst score of the 4 teams. Champion Golfer of the Year Raymond had to be on his game to win, as there were several great rounds turned in over the two days of play. Let's start at the beginning as we go step by step through the stages of the tournament. Thursday, Day 1 Twenty-four Bud's Boys teed off in hopes of taking home the big trophy. The weather was 40 degrees warmer than day 1 last year. The scores reflected the great conditions as half the field finished in the plus column. Butch leads at +7, 1-up on Raymond, Clint, and Floyd.
