 Happy Flag Day




I was about 10 when I found out that flags were not put up because it was my birthday, but something called 'Flag Day'.

Yes, today was my 66th BD and since Jeff also turns 66 on Friday, we made today our own little birthday party.


I wanted a new driver for my birthday but got this shirt instead. Thanks Hon, I love it.

Fifteen players rolled up to join the party.




Bill, Raymond, and Dean were hotter than the 98-degree temp winning the front with a sizzling +11.
They refused comment on their -5 Back 9.

Shelly, Anita, and 3-birdie Westy take Total. Westy also wins bonus 6 on 6 (CTP on hole 6 today)

Scott, Andy, and Glen win Back and CTP with Andy's only good shot of the day.

Although the Birthday Boys were shut out of prize money, Randy totals most points (33), and Jeff takes Medalist +6 which of course are more important than winning cash.


Jeff proudly displays his Gold Medal.

Rick earns Reverse Medalist. His award is accepted by Raymond (displaying money won from Rick today).


Shelly passed out birthday brownies before the round.
After the round the group shared birthday cake. Thank you, Jeff, for thoughtfully providing the delicious cake. We all promise to watch our calories starting tomorrow.

New Years News Bits- Opening Day 2025 We have coverage of the first two days of the new 2025 season along with a look back at 2024. Plenty of pictures from several different contributors of the winter storm to pass your time. Maybe we should throw in a couple bucks and make your prediction of when the next Bud's Boys round will be played. It is good to be back up and running with my new computer. The geek salesman assured me this computer will be much faster. Honestly though, I seem to type just as slow as before. Thursday Lunch Proposal How about we meet again this Thursday (11:00) if there is no golf. We had a good turnout this past week and I propose we do it again this Thursday.  Bud's Boys Count Your Blessings Issue Everyday should be a 'CYB' day but some days you realize it a little more. More on that later. Halloween is coming soon, and we have the Coors golfer haunting our course. Friday Rabbit Chase The greens were fast and furious once more and the total group score of minus 24 reflected as much. Kudos to Doc (+4) and Dean (+3) for shooting on the plus side of their handicap numbers in the tough conditions. Special shout out to Glen and Butch for breaking their streaks of minus golf with a +3 for Butch and a Medalist best +5 for Glen. Butch jarred his birdie putt on hole #9 to catch the Rabbit.
