Thurs June 23
Lower heat index led to better scores on Thursday. Not a one of the 4 teams finished in the minus category.
Rodney, Tom, and Brian only team to all finish plus for the day, winning Front (+7 1/2) and Total (+11).
Scott saves the day for his team by taking CTP. His subsequent birdie putt wins Back 9 by 1 point.
Bob is Medalist at +7, 3 better than Glen, Tom, Brian, and Allen. Glen top point getter with 34.
New Scoring System Examples
First off, please excuse my cranky attitude this morning. I am sure it was the residue of yesterdays post round hangover (physically, not alcoholic).
Here are how today's scoring went for my team.
Team 1
Randy needs 28 points 14 a side
Scott 23 11 1/2
Glen 30 15
81 total points 40 1/2 a side
We scored 36 on front, a minus 4 1/2
We had 46 on back, a plus 5 1/2, total +1
What about tomorrow?
This part hasn't changed. If you score plus 2 or better you go up, minus 2 or worse you go down. If you score plus 1, minus 1, or even, you stay the same. What has changed is you only go up 1 point total instead of 1 point on each side. Thus, the 1/2 points. Let's finish the example with my team today.
Randy had 24 today, a -4. He drops 1 point to 27. Will need 13 1/2 tomorrow.
Scott had 24, a +1. He stays at 23 points. Will need 11 1/2 again.
Glen had 34, a +4. He goes up 1 point to 31. Will need 15 1/2 tomorrow.
Basically, just divide your number in half for your number per side
28 points 14 a side
27 points 13 1/2 a side
26 points 13 a side
25 points 12 1/2 a side etc..
As always, we are more than happy (usually) to help out. We will get through this.
Last Important Note
With 1/2 points in place, there will be fewer ties on front and back. This means 1 point can mean win or lose, no tie. SO DON'T SCRAPE, PUSH, RAKE, or TAKE A PUTT. The rest of us do not deserve that. Do not let ego, frustration, or in my case, fear of missing an 8 inch putt make you be 'THAT GUY'. Man up and putt it in.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
