The winds never let up today and the scores reflected the tough conditions. Only Medalist Rick (+4) and Jeff (+2) saw their number go up after the day's round. Leroy couldn't keep his hat on for this shot on 5.



After his group complained of the glare, he had his hat back on for this approach on 7. Turn your sound on to hear the wind gusting.


Jeff takes his 3rd CTP and helps Mikey and Leroy win front 9 for 2 cuts of 5-dollar Friday. Rick, Randy, and Scott each birdied No. 1, jump-starting them to a team high 81 points, resulting in back 9, total, and rabbit victories. Carson S joined our group today to play Tom in match-play (Congrats Tom on the victory). Everyone should ask Butch about his experience playing along with the young man. 

Tuesday Tee Time News

We may be teeing off at 10 on Tuesday, as we are trying to get off a little early. If you are not checked in and ready before that time, text or call someone. We have to be off before 10:22.
We are also trying something Tuesday morning for next Tues(31st) tee times. Several of us are trying to get individual tee times for the 31st in an attempt to secure our usual time. Everyone is encouraged to help out. Our plan looks like this.
Randy going for     10:22
Scott going for       10:30
Rick going for        10:38
Raymond for          10:46
Mikey for               10:54
It would help if the rest of you also tried for anyone of these times. If many of us go for them, we may keep out any intruders to our times. Pick one and go for it. Here is my little tutorial.
You must be ready, phone in hand by 6:58. Here is my example from Thursday.


The following Tuesday 31st (Thursday in this example) is not available when page opens. Just click on Monday tab and the screen will change.


The very second your phone clock hits 7:00, push Tues May 31, as soon as it loads, scroll to one of these times and click on it and finish the process. In more simple terms, you must have May 31 ready to push by 6:59. Give yourself enough time.

  Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I trust we are all treating the mothers in our lives like the queens they deserve to be treated. Hard to believe my own has been gone 41 years, but the 27 I lived with her are still as vivid as can be. Today might be Mother's Day, but Friday was certainly Mudder's Day. A seven-day layoff for BB's as our course was recovering from the deluge of constant rain. Though most of the course was okay, many swings today produced a spray of mud and water. The layoff combined with the conditions made plus golf a challenge. Tom's Medalist best +5 and Shelly's +3 were the only scores that moved their hcp# upward. St. Pat's Day Sunday 3/17

  Happy St Patrick's Day everyone. Today's edition has the final results from Thursday and Friday's rather small turnouts. But first, something new we are trying.  Many of you know today is the day the NCAA Tournament is revealed, and everyone starts filling out their brackets. Well, forget Kentucky and Kansas or Purdue or whoever! The real March Madness will take place at Kimbeland CC. Read on and fill out your bracket. The person who best predicts the outcome of all the matches will get some yet undetermined special prize, fitting the magnitude of such an event. Here are the participants and their region. In the Allen Hill Regional, Allen himself will square off with Randy. The winner will face the survivor of the Glen vs. KZ matchup. In the Andy McIntosh Regional, Doc and Jeff will meet, with the winner playing either Raymond or Leroy for the regional final. The Bud Marshall Regional has Scott and Roger facing off with the winner going up against the Bob vs. Tom match. T

Champion Golfer of the Year Raymond had to be on his game to win, as there were several great rounds turned in over the two days of play. Let's start at the beginning as we go step by step through the stages of the tournament. Thursday, Day 1 Twenty-four Bud's Boys teed off in hopes of taking home the big trophy. The weather was 40 degrees warmer than day 1 last year. The scores reflected the great conditions as half the field finished in the plus column. Butch leads at +7, 1-up on Raymond, Clint, and Floyd.
