Tee Times Tues May 31 - Friday June 3

These are the "official" times you would see online. Of course, we must be ready sooner because of circumstances. Such as, the 10 o'clock group has 9:50 thru 10:14 Weds and Thursday. That's 4 tee times and they may only use 2. We could tee off shortly after 10 if we are READY! Call or text if you are running late.

Tues May 31-     10:30

Weds June 1-     10:22

Thurs June 2-    10:22

Fri June 3-           9:10  Yes, 9:10

Friday is at 9:10 so be warned.

Friday Results

The last Friday of May was another chilly pullover wearing kind of day. Sixteen was the final count after Rodney pulled in a little late.

Floyd and Brian were co-Medalists (+6), leading their teams to 2 and 1 wins respectively. Glen's CTP and 2 rabbit securing birdies win the other 2.

Random Rants

What I love about golf. To steal a quote from former Cardinal pitcher Joaquin Andujar.

Same with golf. This week my group of 4 faced the easiest hole on the course (per scorecard hcp) and scored a grand total of 1 point. A 120 yd downhill par 3 (hole no. 4) and we get 1 stinking point. Four holes later we face another par 3. 174 yards over water straight into a 20-mph wind. We walk off the green with 3 pars and a bogey, 7 points. You never know indeed.

What I don't like is golf's ability to make ridiculous rules and make it so easy for non-golfers to make fun of the sport. Bear with me as I piece together this story.

Okay, that was longer and less interesting than I first thought. But there it is. I agree that what's worse than a bad rule are the twits who call someone on it.
Last one, greenskeepers who must be in a bad mood.
This is from Iowa's girls state championship. This pin placement led to an average score of quadruple bogey, and an average of 20 minutes just to putt out.
