This is Josh somewhat coolly picking his ball out of the hole after his first career hole-in-one on 18. He was still in a bit of shock when I asked for a comment. He gathered himself enough to say, "I guess the only thing better than a hole-in-one is a hole-in-one on the CTP hole when someone else has a shot a foot away" (sorry, Glen). Congrats to Josh and his team.

The Wacky Play of the Day engineered by Scott was won by team Rick with his birdie on 3. If no team would have birdied, we would have gone to double bogeys to see who won. That gave everyone a chance!
Glen and Randy tied for most points with 34, Brandon and Randy tied for Medalist with +6. Although his +5 came up 1 short of Medalist, it was enough for Leroy to lead his team to the FBT sweep. Leroy finally gave us a couple of minutes to explain his remarkable recent play. "I have started eating better, I am limiting my drinking to only when someone else buys, a few extra push-ups and sit-ups in the morning, and a new supplement I am taking. Which I got at Ace Hardware by the way. Also, a minor change in my grip and stance. I really believe nothing can stop me now. Well, other than being on Scotties team. No one plays good paired with Scott."

Twenty players showed on a beautiful April day. Great to see Stan back in action and the return of Jay from Florida.

  Happy St Patrick's Day everyone. Today's edition has the final results from Thursday and Friday's rather small turnouts. But first, something new we are trying.  Many of you know today is the day the NCAA Tournament is revealed, and everyone starts filling out their brackets. Well, forget Kentucky and Kansas or Purdue or whoever! The real March Madness will take place at Kimbeland CC. Read on and fill out your bracket. The person who best predicts the outcome of all the matches will get some yet undetermined special prize, fitting the magnitude of such an event. Here are the participants and their region. In the Allen Hill Regional, Allen himself will square off with Randy. The winner will face the survivor of the Glen vs. KZ matchup. In the Andy McIntosh Regional, Doc and Jeff will meet, with the winner playing either Raymond or Leroy for the regional final. Mother's Day 5/12

  Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I trust we are all treating the mothers in our lives like the queens they deserve to be treated. Hard to believe my own has been gone 41 years, but the 27 I lived with her are still as vivid as can be. Today might be Mother's Day, but Friday was certainly Mudder's Day. A seven-day layoff for BB's as our course was recovering from the deluge of constant rain. Though most of the course was okay, many swings today produced a spray of mud and water. The layoff combined with the conditions made plus golf a challenge. Tom's Medalist best +5 and Shelly's +3 were the only scores that moved their hcp# upward. No team finished plus in any of the FBT categories. Butch wins the CTP and Doc turns 2-pair in the Card Game to give their team 2 events today despite having the worst score of the 4 teams. Champion Golfer of the Year Raymond had to be on his game to win, as there were several great rounds turned in over the two days of play. Let's start at the beginning as we go step by step through the stages of the tournament. Thursday, Day 1 Twenty-four Bud's Boys teed off in hopes of taking home the big trophy. The weather was 40 degrees warmer than day 1 last year. The scores reflected the great conditions as half the field finished in the plus column. Butch leads at +7, 1-up on Raymond, Clint, and Floyd.
