 Playing in the Mud, Masters results



Ten Bud's Boys put on their waders and headed out to a sloppy Kimbeland track for a day on the course. Yes, readers, it has been a while since our last post. Mother Nature has not been kind this April, feeding us a steady diet of strong winds and ample precipitation. I truly believe they opened the course for play today only because they felt sorry for us, as bad weather is forecast again for tomorrow.

Scoring was also sloppy, only 2 players finished on the plus side. Glen is Medalist at +6 (also most points 34) and Mikey +3. Unfortunately, Glen didn't get much help from teammates Gary and Roger. Gary had this to say: "Yes, we heard that many times during the round, but he took it like a trooper." The threesome did hold on to the front, breaking even on the day. Mikey's +3 and Raymond's 3rd CTP in his last 4 rounds gives their team the other 3 cuts of the prize money. That was Raymond's 6th CTP, one up on Glen. Still waiting on last year's winner (Doc) to get his first.


Warning, you might want to avoid driving range for a couple of days.

Mikey takes another side-bet from Raymond. Culver's will taste better tonight!




Master's Results 

Our little side fantasy game ended Sunday with Gary winning the Green Jacket by 5 strokes over Raymond. Schefflers 4-putt on 18 cost our Scott 3rd place, allowing Glen to slide in. Final results below, hope you can figure them out. Apologies on the picture, intended to make a better results sheet, but lost interest. Unfortunately for Gary, Billie Jo could not present him with the green Jacket. She was called away to play golf. 
This writer has been accused at times of stretching the truth, but the following is something I couldn't even make up. Billie Jo posted this picture,

New Years News Bits- Opening Day 2025 We have coverage of the first two days of the new 2025 season along with a look back at 2024. Plenty of pictures from several different contributors of the winter storm to pass your time. Maybe we should throw in a couple bucks and make your prediction of when the next Bud's Boys round will be played. It is good to be back up and running with my new computer. The geek salesman assured me this computer will be much faster. Honestly though, I seem to type just as slow as before. Thursday Lunch Proposal How about we meet again this Thursday (11:00) if there is no golf. We had a good turnout this past week and I propose we do it again this Thursday.  Bud's Boys Count Your Blessings Issue Everyday should be a 'CYB' day but some days you realize it a little more. More on that later. Halloween is coming soon, and we have the Coors golfer haunting our course. Friday Rabbit Chase The greens were fast and furious once more and the total group score of minus 24 reflected as much. Kudos to Doc (+4) and Dean (+3) for shooting on the plus side of their handicap numbers in the tough conditions. Special shout out to Glen and Butch for breaking their streaks of minus golf with a +3 for Butch and a Medalist best +5 for Glen. Butch jarred his birdie putt on hole #9 to catch the Rabbit. Glen wins his 3rd CTP of October.
