Guess Who Bought A Round of Drinks?

Never underestimate the power of suggestion. A little off-hand comment in yesterday's blog brought out the true philanthropic nature of Big Dean after Thursday's round. The above picture captures Dean delivering a bucket of refreshment for all to share. When asked about this sudden benevolent gesture, Dean responded: "Don't know what the big deal is. I was just waiting for it to be my turn to buy. I thought I was good till 2023. But don't expect it again until then." Dean then told the waitress thanks for the service, and charge it to his account, Allen Hill.

On the Course

It was indeed a very sunny beautiful day for golf, although course still incredibly wet. Nice enough for Mikey to hunt golf balls on 5.

Fourteen teed off, representing 4 teams. Bob and Jeff earn Medalist honors at +3, one better than guest and former member Mike Kesee (better known as Bud's brother-in-law). Glen has most points with 28. The CTP goes to Allen. Here is the genius of our CTP. Allen was by far the worst player today at -11. For 17 holes he has torpedoed any chance his team has for winning the FBT (front, back, total). However, all sins are forgiven with 1 good shot on 18. He comes through with closest shot to the pin, earning his team 1/4 of the payout. Bud's Boys Salute you, Allen. Never give up! No surprise one of the winners was the team of Big Dean, Big A, Little A, and their faithful sidekick Leroy. By the way, Leroy wants to thank his teammates for not laughing at his performance. That's right Leroy, they were laughing with  you, not at you. Many thanks Dean, for sharing today's winnings with the group.

Rodney Update

Sources tell us that Rodney is steadily improving after his procedure and his therapy. I asked him if I could share anything today and he expressed his hope of being back with us early May. Fingers crossed, we need you back in the game.

Swing of the Day

Before we look at co-Medalist Bob's swing, a word about our group scoring. Our handicap numbers are at an all-time low. The last 4 rounds were played at a total of -87. Yes, conditions have been awful, but it is time to buck up boys. Now, let Bob show you how to be Medalist.
