Floyd, Doc, and Scott discuss medications (and effects)


Still a little windy, but the warm temps brought 17 players out for 5-dollar Friday. Sadly, one not present was Mikey, who missed for the first time in over a month. Jeff thought he saw him wandering around on the outskirts of the course.

For the day, the group scored exactly their number of points needed. Even par, if you will. Bob gets his 2nd CTP of the year, winning his team a share of the day's pot.
Glen's play continued to rise along with the temperature. He followed yesterday's top performance with most points again today (35). His 20-point front 9 included birdie on 9, winning the Rabbit. His teammate Leroy, however, was the top performer. His Co-Medalist +6 was his second top score of the week, leading their team to wins on front and total. I asked Leroy if he could give us some insight on his recent success. Leroy's response: " I will be glad to share new techniques, but first I gotta tell Jeff about this big sale at Ace Hardware." 

I am still waiting for his return.

Billie Jo's Easter Egg Hunt

Billie jo sent this interesting clip. For her Easter egg hunt, she dyed golf balls instead of eggs. She then distributed them like a golfer should. For those of you whose eyes won't make it to the bottom of the screen (Dean?), she is hitting colored golf balls.

    Leroy had to tell Jeff 3 times about 50 off sale. Not until third time did Jeff understand that ace is not a liquor store!

  Happy St Patrick's Day everyone. Today's edition has the final results from Thursday and Friday's rather small turnouts. But first, something new we are trying.  Many of you know today is the day the NCAA Tournament is revealed, and everyone starts filling out their brackets. Mother's Day 5/12

  Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I trust we are all treating the mothers in our lives like the queens they deserve to be treated. Hard to believe my own has been gone 41 years, but the 27 I lived with her are still as vivid as can be. Today might be Mother's Day, but Friday was certainly Mudder's Day. A seven-day layoff for BB's as our course was recovering from the deluge of constant rain. Though most of the course was okay, many swings today produced a spray of mud and water. The layoff combined with the conditions made plus golf a challenge. Tom's Medalist best +5 and Shelly's +3 were the only scores that moved their hcp# upward. No team finished plus in any of the FBT categories. Butch wins the CTP and Doc turns 2-pair in the Card Game to give their team 2 events today despite having the worst score of the 4 teams. Champion Golfer Full Coverage

Champion Golfer of the Year Raymond had to be on his game to win, as there were several great rounds turned in over the two days of play. Let's start at the beginning as we go step by step through the stages of the tournament. Thursday, Day 1 Twenty-four Bud's Boys teed off in hopes of taking home the big trophy. The weather was 40 degrees warmer than day 1 last year. The scores reflected the great conditions as half the field finished in the plus column. Butch leads at +7, 1-up on Raymond, Clint, and Floyd.
