Thurs Mar 3

Smoke signals could be seen rising above Kimbeland today, warning unsuspecting golfers that Chief Deano IronsOnFire was on the warpath. With his able sidekick Bob PuttsLikeWoundedBear, they led their team to the biggest one-day wampum take of the year. Let's go back, however, and start at the beginning.

Thursday was much cooler than yesterday, but we still had 2 optimistic players show up in shorts while the rest of us bundled up early.

The back 9 was still closed as our workers continued to work sunup to sundown to clear debris, so it was another day of 2 trips around the front. Before sorting out our teams, we were very pleasantly surprised by a special visitor.

Rodney Returns

Yes, our senior statesman dropped by to show us how he is doing. So great to see him out and about. (I really dropped the ball here and didn't even get a picture, I was so surprised to see him.) He looks good, says he is trending in the right direction. To help his recovery, he is even going to try something new to him, patience. We wish him good luck and eagerly await his return to play. We might even find a loophole in the rules to adjust his number (no promises).

Our feature group of the day. Doc claims " We didn't win the match, but we are still the prettiest!"
The votes are not in on that one, Doc.

As stated earlier, Team Deano hauled in all the money taking front, front again and total. Dean completed the sweep with the CTP. It was a real arrow in the back of Roger, who had one in tight.

Roger did hold on to be today's Medalist at +4, one ahead of Dean and Scott. Randy totals most points with 31. Don't forget tomorrow is 5-dollar Friday. Let's end the week with a big turnout.
