Thurs Mar 10

Fourteen players arrived on a sunny Thursday morning, including a new addition to Bud's Boys, Bill Tucker. We welcome Bill to our group, but I must warn you Bill seems to have one problem. He lines up on the wrong side of the ball.

Don't worry Bill, we have plenty of experts who will straighten you out eventually.

Unfortunately, only 13 players finished as Stan had to WD with back issues. Stan, please take care and keep us posted on how you are doing.

Fearing bad weather on Friday, we moved the rabbit to today, adding to the pot. However, only 1 of the 4 teams managed a front 9 birdie, making for an unusually dull competition.
Lucky for our newcomer Bill, he was paired with Leroy for his first day with BBs. Leroy explains: "Bill was very nervous at the start, pressing a little too much. I did all I could to calm him down, much to the detriment of my own game by the way, and he really responded on the back 9." With Leroy, the team always comes first. And his team did do something rare today. I am not sure it is the first time, but I cannot remember a team sweeping all 5 events on the same day. Randy takes Medalist at +4. Tom has most points with 31. Glen wins his 2nd consecutive CTP, putting him 1 away from a "Floyd". (Floyd, you better get home quick and defend your name.)

Bud's Boys Tips

I remember a quote from Colonel Sanders years ago about the success of his KFC franchise. "At KFC, I only buy the 'Best' chickens. I steal the rest." With that in mind, I stole this from some on-line site.
