Mister Sunshine Returns
Clint returns from Florida and picks up right where he left off. His first appearance of 2022 finds his team winning 2 of the 4 events. Clint explains: "While I have been gone awhile, some things don't seem to change. It's nice that I don't have to try very hard to beat this bunch." Come on Clint, don't be afraid to tell us what you really mean!
Though not as windy as the conditions for the pros in Florida, 11 players faced a pretty stiff south wind, resulting in mostly lower scores. The front 9 holes into the wind proved extremely difficult. No pars on 2. Teams 1 and 3 each scored only 1 point on 8. Minus 1 was good enough to win the front and the total. Mikey wins Medalist with +3 and Tom totals most points (33). The most exciting shot of the round was, of course, Glen's tee shot on 18. His attempt at a "Floyd" (3 CTPs in a row) fell a heartbreaking half step short as Randy eked out the win.
Speaking of tough conditions, do any of you remember weather conditions at Kimbeland on Friday? To refresh your memory, it was low 30's and snowing. A few of us stopped by the club for lunch to eat and watch some golf. This following we found to be the most interesting.
Yes, the left-handed putting gives away our mystery golfer. Hey, when they tell us the course is open, Mikey is gonna play.
Some of us participated in some fantasy golf over the weekend, combining our scores with the pros at the TPC tourney. I would like to do this again when the Masters rolls around next month. Try it, you might like it. Here is how the scores shook out.
Congrats to Glen taking first (he is still waiting for Little A to pay off).
