 Westy Makes 2022 Debut!

Bud's Boys "Most Interesting Man" plays his first round of golf at Kimbeland since Christmas.

It was great to have our good buddy Westy return from his carpal tunnel surgery on Friday. When asked what he did during his golf layoff, Westy said he was still able to shoot some pool and jam with some friends with his guitar, so it wasn't all bad. Not to mention his Dos Equis commercials.

On the course, we had a Friday 13 with 13 players vying for the Friday cash. It was not unlucky for Jeff, Bob and Mikey as they took 3 of the 5 cuts. Roger's CTP gave his team 1 slice, and Scott's birdie on 16 wins the rabbit to give his team the final piece. Tom's +5 wins Medalist over the +3's of Scott, Bob, and Mikey. Tom handily wins the most points also with 33.

Bud's Boys Hats Update

We are awaiting a price from someone local, so let us know if you would like to add your name to the list.

Fantasy Golf

The Players Championship is this week and all the big names in golf are participating. I am kicking around an idea of a combine your score with a Pro's score for a little side pot. Will discuss any thoughts you might have.

I am sure by now most of you have seen the 10-inch putt missed by the number 1 ranked golfer in the world, John Rahm.

My thought on this is that "Yes, everyone misses short putts!" Get over it. You are not alone. We have made our game so much better since we started putting everything out. (Tip of the cap to Doc and Clint) Let's make sure we do not take a step back. You can see on our results page how often 1 stroke makes the difference on who wins. And it's not about the money that concerns me. It's the whispering and talk that can poison the atmosphere of the group, something we don't need. So, let's leave our egos at home, and "don't take it, don't rake it". But if you do rake, jab, or whatever and miss, count the stroke, just like John Rahm.

  1. Got to play with West. Interesting that buds boys has a most interesting man just like pga Champions and their own miguel Angel Jimenez! Notice how much west even looks like him. I am sure west is coming back strong maybe he will be winning 2 out 3 and getting 2 aces soon just like Jimenez!
