Another cool, damp day in the 50's brought out 11 brave golfers on the next to last day of the year. Allen on 6 Doc on 7 Tom on 8 Bob on 18, glad no audio on this (splash followed by expletive) Teams 1 and 3 split team 2 money. Team 1 takes front 9 and CTP thanks to Floyd. Team 3 takes back 9 and total. Highlights include back-to-back birdies on 8 and 9 for Bob, Doc Medalist at +3 and Randy most points 32. Mark and Randy celebrate their 2 birdies on 11 Even Ripley wouldn't believe this  Yes, that is our own Mikey chugging a Fireball! Funny thing is we didn't even birdie, but he was tired of waiting! (What have we done to innocent Mikey; we are bad influences) This is Mark and Scott rushing in to catch him when he started to wobble Results and Numbers

Lucky seven was the number of players today. We had a sunny start that soon turned cloudy. Light winds and temps in low 50's made it a very decent day for late December.  Scoring was a little tough today as Doc Milde takes Medalist honors with +3. Glen and Andy tie for most points at 30, one ahead of Doc and Randy (who had CTP). Each team wins 2 events for an even split of the money. Andy tees off on 4, coincidentally under the McIntosh sign. Bob tries to drive the green on 16 Results and Numbers

70's Temps, Return of Roger, Greetings from the South, the Bagger Gang Rides Again! and a Public Service Announcement in Today's Post. PSA: If you are playing this week, you must bring your own food and drink as clubhouse is closed till New Year. It is fitting that we hit the 70's in temperature the day we receive this message from our old friend Bob "The Rammer" Ramsey down in sunny Florida. Chris, Bob, Jim and Mike (obviously these guys are in witness protection)  Bob enjoys following the blog and keeping up with his old buddies and sends his good wishes. He also made this comment: "You guys are so lucky I am not there. I would be cleaning up with those lame scores you turn in!" Good ol' Bob, always the kidder. Bob, please keep in touch, hope you continue to follow us next year. We had 14 golfers today total. Everyone anxiously awaits that opening tee shot. In bottom photo, Rodney explains today's game.  Mark Roger drove all day yesterday from

Christmas Eve 2021

Merry Christmas Everyone! It's a White Christmas at least for Mark Roger as this is what he woke up to in Colorado today. Thanks, Mark, for the wonderful picture (Bragger). I had a few things in mind, but unexpected duties and company leaves little time. One was a Christmas story that I will skip and just give the moral to the story. No matter how many or how few physical gifts you get, it's all about your attitude. Enjoy what you have. Hopefully we will see a lot golfy gifts next week. If you are travelling, please be safe. No need to be in a hurry. Merry Christmas from Shelly, Randy... and Santa Floyd! Oh, and for you desperate guys, Billie Jo sends a Christmas Card "Hey Bud's Boys hope you weren't naughty! Merry Christmas!"

Does anyone remember this movie scene? It has been reported we nearly had the sequel on the Kimbeland course today. Apparently, Gary Hatfield sent a message to Rodney McCoy today on the first hole. The message simply said "Titleist 3" but it wasn't on a card in an envelope. It was stamped on a golf ball and delivered to the back of Raymond's cart with its passenger (Rodney). Cool heads prevailed, and case was settled before it went to Judge Leroy. Raymond estimates damage to his cart was less than $3,000 so he will take care of it himself. Way to work it out boys, we wouldn't have wanted this: In golf action we had a second consecutive clean sweep. Gary, Glen, Bob, and Bagger Clint take front, back, and overall, with Bob's CTP the icing on the cake. Gary (on pure adrenaline after first hole), takes Medalist with +5. Glen has most points with 33. The Travels of Jeff As we all know, Jeff avoided jail time this week and was free to travel to Florida. I didn'

A Lump of Coal for those of you who didn't play today because you feared the weather. A sunny windless round was a treat for the 10 golfers who enjoyed a December bonus day. It was so nice that Rick Beine tried out his new pushcart for all 18 holes. I am sure Rick will sleep well tonight and we hope we see him back soon when he recovers. Shelly tees off on 8 Tom hits from the rocks on 16 (He parred) Randy "Raymond" Balsman putts for his 4th birdie on 16(lipped out of course) Teams 1and 3 presented Rick, Scott, and Josh with early Christmas present, allowing them to win all 4 bets on the day. The rare clean sweep. Other highlights include Josh Medalist at +6, one ahead of Raymond who had top points with 35. Scott takes CTP, 3 birdies for Raymond, 2 for Shelly and Tom A. Near hole in ones for Raymond on 4 and Shelly on 6. I will unfortunately miss tomorrow so I would appreciate results and anything of interest. Results and Thurs numbers

The Return of Billie Jo! Plus, Tues Recap (D***it Brandon wins again) and the Race for CTP King in this edition. Lots to get to so let's get to today's action first. Five teams of 3 competed on a sunny crisp Tuesday. Our thoughts were with Jeff (Lil A) as we teed off. Good Luck in P town Jeff. Rodney starts the show. Brandon, Westy, and Shelly take front (+8) and overall while Butch, Rick, and Mikey take the back (+4). Randy Balsman approach on 15 leads to his 2nd consecutive birdie. Shelly takes Medalist +4, one better than Mikey and Scott. Glen tops points list with 32, one better than both Randy Bs.  Race for CTP Mark wins CTP today over teammate Glen (Big A) to stretch lead to 3 with only a week and change to go. We asked Mark about his chances. MARK: " I am putting the clubs away for the rest of the year, very confident my lead will hold. Glen is known as Iceman not because he is cool under pressure, but because he freezes up. At least that is what Jeff tells me"
